We invest in future healthcare professionals (HCPs) to bring the change we want to see.
The transformation of healthcare can be achieved by competent and dedicated leaders focusing on health needs and the objectives of the health services system. Long-term improvement and sustainable outcomes in healthcare nowadays require modern educational approaches that provide knowledge about innovative practices and skills, including measuring value & outcomes, process optimization, intimate mechanisms and details for the healthcare professional-patient relationship, management, communication & business skills, empathy, regulation, human resources, leadership, negotiations etc.
Vision
The traditional education of healthcare professionals (HCP) is focused on hospital-based education and education that is segregated into professional silos but there is a potential gap in the education regarding innovative practices and skills required in 21st century -measuring total value outcomes over the cycle of care, process optimization, intimate mechanisms and details for the HCP patient relationship, management, communication business skills, regulation, human resources, leadership, negotiations and others. The transformation of healthcare can be achieved by competent and dedicated leaders focusing on health needs and the objectives of the health services system. The Future Value Initiative on transforming and scaling up health professionals’ education and continuous training is a contribution to this difficult but an inspiring task for future HCPs.
